  1. Aluminum and magnesium light-weight alloys. We use first-principles calculations to study the twinning, stacking fault, evolution of precipitation and LPSO in the these alloys.
  2. Inspired by teaching statistical mechanics, we are doing some research on phase transition related topics, such as mechanism of phase transition, displacive phase transition, collective ordering and phase transition of atomic scale novel materials.
  3. 2D materials, bandgap and edge state control, carrier mobility, Raman, and Phonon.
  4. DFT theory and Python coding.
